Biography of Patrick R. Pinto, Ph.D.

Pat Pinto has been an organizational consultant since 1985 and is currently the president of his own firm specializing in human resource planning and development. His consulting experience covers a broad range, from individual development to human resource strategy for organizations.

Particular areas of expertise include executive continuity and succession, talent management, coaching, human resource planning systems, performance measurement, training and career progression.

All of Dr. Pinto's advanced degrees are in Psychology, with his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. He was a faculty member in the University of Minnesota's Carlson Graduate School of Management from 1970 to 1984. In 1980-81, he completed a year as a Visiting Professor at the University of British Columbia.

Pat has published in the areas of management development, work motivation, job classification, and performance assessment in various professional journals. He has designed executive development programs and led workshops for many or the world's leading companies.

He is a dynamic facilitator who has improved the performance of work groups, senior leadership teams and organizations.

Pat is affiliated with TalentTelligent and can deliver all the instruments in their entire KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Attributes) Suite™ of talent tools, including their 360 evaluation and assessment of leadership potential. For a long time he was affiliated with Lominger (Korn Ferry) as a Master Certifier for their LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Suite of learning and development tools.

Clients often ask for his guidance when installing, troubleshooting and revitalizing succession planning and talent management systems. His attention is currently on identification of critical competencies and skills, projects to enhance the management of performance, ways to recognize and develop talent within organizations, and establishing a development culture.

Dr. Pinto also serves as an executive coach to assist leaders in accelerating their potential for the future and improving their performance.

He is a frequent speaker at management seminars, and a faculty member in executive educations and leadership development programs, known for his compelling presentations.
